    Things You'll Need

    • Wood trim/molding
    • Miter saw
    • Paint or stain
    • Sandpaper
    • Embellishments
    • Glue or velcro strips
      • 1

Measure your mirror, length x width. You will need two pieces of molding the size of the length and two pieces of molding the size of the width.

      • 2

Buy molding from a hardware store like Home Depot or Lowes. I prefer fluted molding but a flat style can also work. Think about the overall look you're going for.

      • 3

Cut the molding to the proper lengths and miter the ends.

      • 4

Lightly sand the molding and either paint or stain it. Be creative with your colors and finishes. I like to sand the edges of the molding after painting it for a shabby chic look.

Either glue the four pieces of molding onto the mirror using a carpenter's adhesive or use velcro for a less permanent option. Make sure the pieces fit together snugly at the four corners to lessen the gaps.

Keep as is or use embellishments for a funkier look. Scour the craft store for ideas (silk flowers for a girl's bathroom, wooden sports balls for a boy's bathroom are a couple of examples). Adhere to the molding with velcro or glue.
