How to Make Your Own Napkin Rings
A set of matching napkin rings can add elegance and cohesion to your dinner table, particularly if they match the decor of your dining room. If you're planning a dinner party and don't have a set of napkin rings on hand, consider making some yourself at home. Making handmade napkin rings is a quick and easy project that requires just a few simple materials. And making a set yourself will save costs over purchasing a pre-made set from a home goods store.

1
Cut a piece of craft wire to about 12 inches long using a pair of scissors. Craft wire can be purchased at most craft stores.
-
2
Twist the last 1/2 inch of one end of the wire into a thin U-shape, using a pair of needlenose pliers, making an enclosure that will keep the beads from slipping off the wire.
-
-
3
Snake decorative plastic or glass beads onto the wire, sliding on as many beads as needed until you reach the end of the wire.
-
4
Twist the top end of the wire into a thin U-shape, closing off the wire so the beads won't slip off.
-
5
Twist the wire into a circle by bending one end of the wire over to touch the other and hooking the ends together, making the circle about 2 inches in diameter. Wrap any remaining wire around the circle in a spiral.
-
6
Repeat steps 1 to 5 until you have as many napkin rings as you need for your table.
