From Quick Guide: Christmas Party
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Decorative paper such as
  • gift wrap
  • Craft glue
  • Cracker snaps from a craft store
  • Glitter, sequins, or small stickers (optional)
  • Paper towel rolls
  • Candy, trinkets, or other small gifts
  • Purchased or hand-written fortune slips
  • Fancy ribbon
  1. Step 1

Cut the paper into a rectangle, about 11" by 16".

  2. Step 2

Put the cracker snap inside the paper towel roll, making sure it sticks out of both ends.

  3. Step 3

Put the candy, small gifts, and fortune slips inside the roll.

  4. Step 4

Put glue down one side of the tube and lay the tube on the decorative paper, making sure it is evenly centered.

  5. Step 5

Being careful not to spill anything out of the tube, wrap the paper around it and glue the ends of the paper lightly. f you like, at this point you can add glitter, sequins, or other decorations to your cracker.

  6. Step 6

Now tie both ends of the paper securely with the ribbon, twisting the paper on each end.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make a cracker for each of your guests. Have two guests take an end of each cracker and pull. The cracker should "crack" and spill its contents amid general laughter.
  • If you have trouble finding the cracker snaps, you can use thin wooden strips that will break easily.
