Instructions

1
Cut a back pocket from the ladies' blue jeans. Cut through the seat of the pants and around the outer edge of the pocket, creating a pocket pouch.
-
2
Pin the ruffled eyelet to the sides and bottom of the jean pocket, over the jean top stitching. Fold the ends of the eyelet under a ½ inch and top stitch the eyelet to the pocket.

3
Draw a 6-inch circle on the 6-inch square of fabric, using the compass. Cut the circle out.
-
4
Sew a running stitch along the edge of the 6-inch circle. Pull up the thread slightly to gather. Stuff the circle firmly, creating a pin cushion. Close the pin cushion and knot the end. Hot glue the gathered side of the pin cushion to the front of the jean pocket sewing caddy.
-
5
Thread one end of the ribbon through the handle of the travel sewing kit's scissors. Fold the end over the handle 1 inch and stitch to hold.
-
6
Measure 37 inches from the ribbon loop and cut the ribbon. Glue the 1-inch of ribbon from the cut end to the back right hand top corner of the jean pocket sewing caddy. The ribbon will provide a quick measurement guide for a yard and allow plenty of room to maneuver the scissors.
-
7
Hot glue the five buttons, randomly, to the front of the jean pocket sewing caddy.
-
8
Slip the travel sewing kit into the jean pocket sewing caddy. Tuck the scissors into the jean pocket to finish.
