Sometimes a free for all isn't a bad thing – especially if the kids are looking for decent, controlled programming for their smaller ears. Over the past several months the best thing we have done in our house is find age appropriate radio stations online.
The first site to check out is Live365. This internet site covers the gamut of music with continuous streaming radio. The best by far on the internet and free!!
Step2
Kidscastradio.com A site made to listen to radio for kids by kids. While it changes weekly and can be heard on radio stations across the West, you won't miss the heart and soul that goes into each program. The kids will enjoy it and may even be tempted to participate with all the opportunities online.
Step3
YouthRadio.org This music is for the older kids – tweens and teens comprise the listening audience. Most of the programs are achieved, plus there is plenty of information to read and stuff to learn.
Step4
Internet radio can also be heard on a regional level. Want to explore a spot your family will be vacationing in three months? MSN.com has hundreds of local stations where you can plug in and listen to happenings, weather and of course music. This is great if you are learning a new language or studying a new culture too! Radio stations in London or Singapore are as close as a click.
Tips & Warnings
Make sure you know what your kids are listening too.
