How to Make a Bottle Cap Necklace for Valentine's Day
Sometimes an inexpensive Valentine's Day gift made by your own two hands and that comes from the heart means more than the most expensive jewelry money can buy. A bottle cap necklace is a fun and funky gift, and a creative way to show somebody how much you love her.
Things You'll Need
- 1 bottle cap
- Hammer
- Small nail
- Jump ring
- Small picture of hearts, flowers or a small photograph
- Pencil
- Scissors or craft knife
- White craft glue
- Clear resin
- Chain

Put the bottle cap on a solid surface and use the hammer and a small nail to create a small hole inside one of the crevices on the bottle cap's outer edge. Connect the jump ring to the hole.

Decide what you would like to put in your bottle cap necklace. It can be a heart, a flower or a tiny photograph. Anything you choose is fine, as long as it's small enough to fit in the bottle cap.

Place the bottle cap over the picture and trace around the bottle cap lightly with a pencil.

Cut out the small picture carefully with scissors or a craft knife.

Glue the picture to the underside of the bottle cap with white craft glue, and let it dry for at least 24 hours.

Pour clear resin in the bottle cap for at least 24 hours. Connect the bottle cap to a chain.
