    1. Clay Pot Cows

      • 1

Wash the clay pot and allow it to dry thoroughly. Paint the entire clay pot white; when the white paint dries, add some black spots.

      • 2

Cover a 1 1/2-inch-diameter wooden ball with white paint to make the cow's head.

      • 3

Glue craft eyes on the ball and paint a nose and a mouth. You can use rub-on decals for the facial features if you prefer.

      • 4

Cut ears and horns from card stock or foam core. Paint the ears pink and the horns peach.

      • 5

Glue everything in place with a hot glue gun, beginning with the ears and horns on the cow animal's head. Then glue the head to the top of your upturned pot.

      • 6

Use black paint or a black marker to draw a 1/2-inch line from the bottom-center of the terra cotta pot up to create legs.

      • 7

Spray the entire clay pot animal with a clear acrylic sealer to protect it. Tie a tiny cowbell around the cow's neck.

      Clay Pot Dragonfly

      • 1

Drill a small hole in the top of a 1-1/2-inch wooden ball with one flat side. The hole should be just large enough to stuff two pipe cleaners into.

      • 2

Cover the wooden ball and the terra cotta clay pot silver. These will be the head and body of your clay pot animal.

      • 3

Use glue or magic markers to draw a cute face on the wooden ball once it dries. Be as creative with the expression as you want. You can also use rub-on decals for this step if you prefer.

      • 4

Cut 5 circles from your foam core, going from small to larger, and cut out a pair of wings for your dragonfly.

      • 5

Use a small dab of hot glue to secure the pipe stems into the hole in top of the head using. Add beads to the end of each pipe cleaner.

      • 6

Glue the wings on the back of your clay pot animal. Then, add your circles to the front, starting with the largest circle in the center. Moving to one side, overlap the remaining circles working from largest to smallest.

      • 7

Spray your clay pot dragonfly with a coating of acrylic sealer to protect it.
