Most of us reach for commercial products when we need a disinfectant room spray, without stopping to think that the product contains ammonia, bleach, alcohol and other products that pollute the air in our homes. Natural disinfectant room sprays may provide safer alternatives.
Things You'll Need
- 3 oz. distilled water
- Glass spray bottle
- 9 drops lemon or bergamot essential oil
- 9 drops eucalyptus essential oil
- 6 drops pine essential oil
- 3 drops spearmint or peppermint essential oil
- 16 oz. warm distilled water
- Spray bottle
- 6 drops tea tree oil
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 3 drops lemon, orange or bergamot essential oil
Eucalyptus Disinfectant Room Spray
Place 3 oz. distilled water in a glass spray bottle.
Add 9 drops lemon or bergamot essential oil, 9 drops eucalyptus oil, 6 drops pine oil and 3 drops peppermint or spearmint essential oil.
Shake the bottle to mix the essential oils with the water. Apply the eucalyptus room spray as needed to combat bacteria and odors.
Tea Tree Oil Disinfectant Room Spray
Place 16 oz. of warm distilled water into a spray bottle.
Add 6 drops of tea tree oil, 1/4 cup ofwhite vinegar and 3 drops of lemon, orange or bergamot essential oil.
Shake the mixture well and use it to disinfect and freshen the air.

- Make an easy all-purpose disinfectant room spray with vinegar. Fill a spray bottle with white vinegar and add 10 drops of your favorite essential oil. Shake the bottle before each use.
