How to add Color to a Text Box in Microsoft Publisher
Filling a text box with color in a Microsoft Publisher 2007 document is a great way to add some excitement to your publication. This process instantaneously fills the background of the text box with any color you choose.

Start Microsoft Publisher 2007 and open an existing document from your files that contains a text box to which you would like to add color.

Choose the Select Objects button from the top of the Objects toolbar. The button is represented by a picture of a white mouse cursor.

Select the text box that you want to add color to by clicking on it. It will now be surrounded by white sizing handles indicating that it is selected.

Choose the "Format" menu and click "Text Box" to open the Format Text Box dialog box. Click the "Colors and Lines" tab at the top of the dialog box, if necessary.

Click the "Color" drop-down list in the "Fill" section of the Format Text Box dialog box to display the colors you can add to the text box.

Select the color you want to use from the drop-down list or click "More Colors" and use the Colors dialog box to select from a larger palette of colors.

Click "OK" to close the Colors dialog box (if necessary) and the Format Text Box dialog box. The color you have chosen will now be applied to the background of the selected text box.

Select the "View" menu, point to "Toolbars" and click on "Objects" to display the Microsoft Publisher 2007 Objects toolbar if necessary.
