• Paper clips
• Wire cutters
• Needle-nose pliers

1. Collect a variety of paper clips before you get started. Paper clips can be found at superstores, office supply stores and even sometimes at convenience stores. Paper clips are available in several sizes and are made from wire of varying thicknesses. You can also find paper clips in different shapes and even in different colors, thanks to wire coating and powder coating techniques.

2. Separate your paper clips according to size, shape and color before you start working. Be sure you have enough of each size, shape and color to create a paper clip necklace that is unique and fashionable. If you have a limited amount of a particularly attractive color or size, consider using them to create a unique necklace pendant.

3. Paper clips can make a unique necklace.

   Create your necklace by intertwining the paper clips in whichever manner you have decided to use. You can use the wire cutters to remove excess pieces of wire from paper clips you've reshaped. Use the needle-nose pliers to press the sharp edges down into place so that they don't scratch you (or whoever ends up wearing the paper-clip necklace).

4. Be mindful of your intended clasp or closure. If the necklace is too small to bring over your head, you'll need to use a jewelry clasp. Consider crafting one from a paper clip.
