Batman the Dark Knight Movie

The new Batman movie, Batman and the Dark Knight, released in theaters July 2008, follows up where Batman Begins (2005) ended. The Dark Knight movie has been much anticipated especially by Batman fans, but critical acclaim for the movie suggests that the film will be watched and appreciated by many moviegoers who never saw the first film. Thanks in part to a very successful viral marketing campaign, Batman the Dark Knight Movie instantly set new records, bringing in $158.4 million in its opening weekend and selling about 22.37 million tickets in the process.

Instructions

    Batman the Dark Knight Movie

  1. Step 1

Rent and watch Batman Begins to build your excitement for the new batman movie. Make sure everyone in your group has a chance to watch the first Batman movie before seeing the Dark Knight. It's not necessary, of course, but adds to the fun and enjoyability.

  2. Step 2

Learn about the cast of the new Batman movie. Christian Bale plays Bruce Wayne/Batman, and even does many of his own stunts. He was the same character in batman Begins, giving the second film continuity. The Joker, played fantastically by Heath Legder, was already famous online even before Heath Ledger's death and has become more so since the tragic event in January 2008. Aaron Eckhart plays Harvey Dent, Two-Face, who starts out good but tragically turns corrupt. Actor Gary Oldman is James Gordon, one of the only Gotham City Police Department officers who is still good. Then of course there is Maggie Gyllenhaal as Rachel Dawes, who was played by Katie Holmes in the previous movie. Rachel is one of only a few people who know Batman's true identity.

  3. Step 3

Buy your movie tickets ahead of time, as many showings of Batman sold out in advance and some theater show times are still crowded and at full capacity.

  4. Step 4

Arrive early at the movie theater to ensure good seating. The theater will likely be almost full, so pick good seats when you arrive. If you need to buy snacks, have a friends hold onto your seats.

  5. Step 5

Hang on and enjoy the ride! Follow the dialog, plot and character development as the movie progresses.

Tips & Warnings
