Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Candles
- Meal
- Gift
- Wedding cake
Step1
Write a love letter or leave a note. Write a love letter telling your spouse all the things you love about him or her. Put it in an envelope and leave by the front door or in his or her lunch. You can also write a message on the mirror that will appear after your spouse has taken a shower and the mirror has steamed up. You might include some of the things that made you fall in love with your spouse.
Step2
Send your spouse flowers. You can order them from a flower shop and have them delivered or pick them out yourself and hand deliver them to her at work or at home.
Step3
Make a romantic dinner. Cook something you and your spouse enjoy. Or you can order take out if you'd rather relax in the kitchen. Set the table with a nice tablecloth, good dishes and candles. Dim the lights and play some romantic music in the background. Prepare a special dessert for after dinner and your spouse will love it.
Step4
Remember your wedding date. Watch your wedding video or look through your wedding scrapbook. Pull out that piece of wedding cake you’ve had in your freezer for a year. Your wedding cake is an excellent idea for dessert. Have a back up dessert just in case it doesn’t taste the way you thought it would.
Step5
Go to a movie or play. Check out a movie at the local movie theater that the two of you have wanted to see. You can buy tickets online or at the box office. You might also consider buying tickets to a play, concert, or musical. You will need to buy these tickets in advance. Look online or call the theater for ticket information.
Step6
Buy your spouse a gift. Look for something he or she would like. If you can’t find anything to purchase that doesn’t stand out to you, make him or her a gift. Homemade gifts are usually well received.
Step7
Have an anniversary party. Invite some friends and family for dinner or a barbecue. Don’t expect to receive gifts at your anniversary party. Be a good host and hostess and thank them for joining you in celebrating your one year anniversary.
Step8
Take a vacation. Perhaps you want to visit the place you went to for your honeymoon or plan a trip to a new destination you’ve really wanted to see. Plan a road trip and go camping together.
