How to Crochet a Garden Fairy Finger Puppet

Crocheting a Garden Fairy is easy with my free pattern!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Small amounts worsted weight yarn in peach and red
• Size H crochet hook
• 2 small black half-circle beads for eyes
• 1 large red silk rose
• 1 small red silk flower for hat
• 2 small green silk leaves for wings

1. Size: 2 1/4 " tall
   Note: Weave in ends as work progresses.
   
   Rnd 1: With peach, make ring (or ch 4, join w sl st in 1st ch to form ring. I prefer the "magic ring" method.), ch 1, 6 sc in ring, join w sl st in 1st sc (6 sc).

2. 

   Rnd 2: Ch 1, *sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat from * around, join as before (9 sc).

3. 

   Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in each sc around, join as before (9 sc).

4. 

   Rnd 4: Ch 1, sc in 1st sc, sc dec over next 2 sc, sc in next 3 sc, sc dec over next 2 sc, sc in last sc, join as before (7 sc).

5. Rnd 5: Ch 1, sc in each sc around, join as before, fasten off (7 sc).

6. Rnd 6: Join red w sl st in 1st sc of Rnd 5, ch 1, sc in same sc and in each sc around, join as before (7 sc).

7. Rnds 7-11: Ch 1, sc in each sc around, join as before, fasten off after Rnd 11 (7 sc).

8. Glue on eyes as show. Glue leaves to back of fairy. Glue on hat. Let dry.

9. Place fairy on finger. Enjoy! When fairy is not in use, tuck fairy in large silk rose.

Tips & Warnings

• Omit beads and embroider French knots for eyes if giving to small children.
