How to Tie a Silk Scarf Into a Simple Knot

Donning a scarf doesn't have to be complicated; this simple knot will add a chic fashion twist to your outfit.

Things You'll Need:

• Cashmere Shawl
• Scarves
• Silk Scarf

1. 

   Fold a square scarf diagonally into a triangle. Grasp the broad middle pointed end and fold it over repeatedly on itself to form a 2-inch band.

2. Drape the folded scarf around your neck so that one end is a few inches longer than the other.

3. 

   Cross the long end over the short end and push through the loop.

4. Place the long end over the short end and slide through the loop again.

5. 

   Pull to tighten.

6. 

   Wear the knot in front or to the side of your neck.

Tips & Warnings

• This simple knot works well with round-necked tops.
• Hand wash or dry-clean your scarves regularly depending on frequency of wear. The oils in your skin and general dirt can render vibrant colors flat and lifeless.
