Use my free pattern to crochet a "sweet" candy dish!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Materials
  • 1 oz dark brown worsted weight yarn
  • Size H crochet hook
  1. Step 1

    Size: 4" tall
    Gauge: 2 rnds of dc=1"

    Top of Kiss
    Rnd 1: Make ring (or ch 4, join w sl st in 1st ch to form ring. I prefer the "magic ring" method), ch 3, 5 dc in ring, join w sl st in top of ch 3, pull ring closed (6 dc).

  2. Step 2

    Rnd 2: Ch 3, 2 dc in next dc*dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, rep from * around, join as before (9 dc).

  3. Step 3

    Rnd 3: Ch 3, *2 dc in next dc, dc in next dc, rep from * around, join as before (13 dc).

  4. Step 4

    Rnd 4: Ch 3, *2 dc in next dc, dc in next dc, rep from * around, join as before (19 dc).

  5. Step 5

    Rnd 5: Ch 3, dc in same dc, 2 dc in next dc and in each dc around, join as before, fasten off (38 dc).

  6. Step 6

    Bottom of Kiss
    Rnd 1: Make ring (or ch 4, join w sl st in 1st ch to form ring. I prefer the "magic ring" method), ch 3, 11 dc in ring, join w sl st in top of ch 3, pull ring closed (12 dc).

  7. Step 7

    Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in same dc, 2 dc in next dc and in each dc around, join w sl st in top of ch 3 (24 dc).

  8. Step 8

    Rnd 3: (Work this round in back loops only!). Ch 3, dc in same dc, 2 dc in next dc and in each dc around, join as before (48 dc).

  9. Step 9

    Rnd 4: Ch 3, *dc dec over next 2 dc, dc in next dc, rep from * around, join as before (32 dc).

  10. Step 10

    Rnd 5: Ch 3, *dc dec over next 2 dc, dc in next dc, rep from *around, dc in last dc, join as before, fasten off (22 dc).

  11. Step 11

    Weave in ends.

  12. Step 12

    Stuff bottom with kisses. Place lid on top. Enjoy!

on 1/21/2009 Oh, my! That is too cute! I haven't crocheted in a while, but now I want to try this...LOL. It might be cute to take a strip of silver ribbon and afix to the top. Then write a sentiment on the ribbon in a permanent marker. This is def a keeper. Thanks!
