Rnd 1: Make ring (or ch 4, join w sl st in 1st ch to form ring. I prefer the "magic ring" method), ch 3, 5 dc in ring, join w sl st in top of ch 3, pull ring closed (6 dc). -

Rnd 2: Ch 3, 2 dc in next dc*dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, rep from * around, join as before (9 dc).

Rnd 3: Ch 3, *2 dc in next dc, dc in next dc, rep from * around, join as before (13 dc).

Rnd 4: Ch 3, *2 dc in next dc, dc in next dc, rep from * around, join as before (19 dc).

on 1/21/2009 Oh, my! That is too cute! I haven't crocheted in a while, but now I want to try this...LOL. It might be cute to take a strip of silver ribbon and afix to the top. Then write a sentiment on the ribbon in a permanent marker. This is def a keeper. Thanks!
