How to Make a Candle From Crayons
A candle is a great addition to any home. Did you know that you can simply make your own using crayons? Believe it or not, it's true. Crayons have the same waxy texture as candles, and you can make your own. Read on to learn how to make a candle from crayons. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- 24-plus crayons
- Wax melter or pot and stove
- Wick
- Scented oil
- Large jar to melt wax in
- Small jar or empty candle holder

Choose about 24 or more crayons and melt them in your wax melter. If you do not have a wax melter, pour water in a pot on the stove, bring it to a boil, place the crayons in a glass bowl or jar, and sit the jar inside of the boiling water until it melts.

Once the crayons have completely melted, add about four to five drops of your scented oil into the melted wax.

Continue stirring and adding drops of scented oil until the scent you desire is achieved.

Glue the bottom (round metal part) of your wick onto the center of the bottom or the jar or candle glass.

Pour your melted wax into the small jar or candle glass until you reach the top, leaving 2 inches of wick sticking out. If there is more than 2 inches, trim it.

Let the candle harden and then either light it or give it to friends as a gift.
