Passing down favorite recipes is a time-honored tradition for many families. Printing your favorite family recipes onto 4 by 6-inch recipe cards allows you to keep the information safe and accessible when needed. When you're ready to share the recipes with others, you can give the card away or copy the recipe onto a new card. Your family and friends will appreciate the ease in which you're able to pass along beloved recipes.
Things You'll Need
- 4 by 6 Index cards or perforated paper
- Word processing program
Load the 4 by 6 inch index card, recipe card or specially perforated card stock, into your printer per your printer manufacturer's instructions.
Write out the recipe in your word processing program. Choose a two-column set up or index card layout using the options provided in your word processing program. These options are likely located under the tools menu for making labels.
Print the recipes onto the paper you loaded in the printer. Use the printer setup tools to indicate the size and type of paper you chose for your recipe cards. This ensures proper printing of the ink onto the paper.
