Popsicle Stick Fun in the Sun!

  1. Step 1

Decide what craft idea you want to do with your popiscle sticks: you can make popiscle dolls, make a castle or building, make a tower, a brdige, or more! To make dolls:

  2. Step 2

Take one long popsicle stick and draw a face on the top.

  3. Step 3

Hot glue hair from a craft store onto the top. Or color it on.

  4. Step 4

Take another 2 popsicle sticks and break them in half, gluing half on each side for legs and arms.

  5. Step 5

Take fabric scraps and glue them on as pants and shirts or dresses.

  6. Step 6

Build a building for them to play in by gluing together a foundation in the shape you want.

  7. Step 7

Start gluing the walls together by again creating the foundation for the each wall, then gluing those walls together so they remain steady.

  8. Step 8

Fill in the walls by adding more popsicle sticks, or if you don't have enough, by gluing construction paper or cardboard over the foundation. If you like, cut windows and doors out before gluing it together, using a utility knife.

  9. Step 9

Make a separate roof so that you can easily remove it to play with your dolls.

  10. Step 10

Paint your house, adding color or drawing in doors if you did not want to cut them out.

Tips & Warnings
  • For boys, make it a stunt house. Adding fireworks, with parent supervision, and filling it with army men, can be a fun way to film an action-explosion scene for a home made movie.
  • Make sure kids are supervised when using the glue gun and utility knife.
