Instructions

    • 1

Mix the baking soda and citric acid in a small mixing bowl. Mix the ingredients until they're completely blended and no lumps remain.

    • 2

Add the oil, essential oil and borax and stir until well blended.

    • 3

Drizzle the oils slowly into the dry ingredients. As you pour, use the fingers of your other hand to mix the ingredients. Work quickly, before the mixture begins to harden.

    • 4

Press the mixture into round molds, packing them tightly.

    • 5

Remove the moisturizing bath bombs from the molds and spray them very lightly with witch hazel, which will help to form a light crust on the bath bombs.

    • 6

Allow the moisturizing bath bombs to sit overnight, then turn them over and spritz the bottoms very lightly with witch hazel.

    • 7

Let the moisturizing bath bombs dry completely, and store them in a sealed container.

Tips & Warnings

  • Go very lightly when spritzing the moisturizing bath bombs with witch hazel. Too much moisture will cause the bombs to begin fizzing.

  • If you want to add a light tint to the moisturizing bath bombs, add a few drops of food coloring when you stir in the oils.
