A Beatrix Potter birthday party is sure to please any young fan of Peter Rabbit and all his mythical animal friends. It's the ideal theme for a little girl's birthday celebration. Put your fuzzy bunny slippers on while you hop around planning this special tea party for the little one in your life. Read on to learn how to host a Beatrix Potter birthday party.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Design invitations using a Beatrix Potter theme. Look for invitations showcasing rabbits or stencil them on yourself. Fashion unusual invitations in the shape of carrots, using orange paper.

  2. Step 2

Encourage guests to dress Beatrix Potter style. Just pick up any of her books for inspirations. Flowered pinafores and floppy hats are perfect. Or, you could ask each little guest to come dressed as her favorite Beatrix Potter character.

  3. Step 3

Host the party outside if weather permits. If you're lucky enough to have an herb garden, that would be the perfect spot. A porch or deck is another good choice. But even if it's cold and stormy, your little bunnies are sure to have a good time.

  4. Step 4

Decorate with fresh flowers and pots of fresh herbs. March ceramic bunnies around your centerpiece. Make a tablecloth and matching napkins out of cotton fabric covered in rabbits. You may even be able to find Peter Rabbit fabric.

  5. Step 5

Serve carrot cake, berries and fresh currant buns to the guests. They might not care for chamomile tea, but you can give them lemon tea in Peter Rabbit themed dishes. Frost the birthday carrot cake in white cream cheese frosting, and top it with birthday roses.

  6. Step 6

Surprise your guests with Beatrix Potter party favors. Although her books make a lovely gift, you might also choose stuffed bunnies or tiny tea sets.

  7. Step 7

End the party by reading aloud a Beatrix Potter story.
