Bhakti Yoga (love or devotion to God) is one of Hinduism's ancient paths to God. It is the focus of the Krishna Consciousness movement and of other Hindu traditions.

Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Read the Bhagavad Gita, which teaches that love of the Divine is the simplest and best way to God consciousness.

  2. Step 2

Worship Krishna/God with awe and with joy. Dance and laugh. Krishna is a playful form of God.

  3. Step 3

Chant "Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare"

  4. Step 4

Express devotion creatively. The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKON) encourages people to express love of the Divine in food, dress, drama and many other ways.

  5. Step 5

Make a pilgrimage to India. Pilgrimage allows deeper contemplation, shared worship experiences and understanding of Hindu values in their cultural home.

  6. Step 6

Perform dharma or religious duty. The two forms of dharma. Sanatana-dharma means to serve God, such as by worship. Varnashrama-dharma is related to the duty of the individual in society. In all ways, do good works.
