Sometimes you want a handheld shower, and sometimes you want the standard shower head. Now you can have both options by installing a shower head diverter valve, with which you can easily switch from a handheld to a regular shower head.
Things You'll Need
- Shower head diverter valve
- Standard shower head
- Handheld shower
The first step is simply removing the original shower head by unscrewing it.
Now screw in the diverter head in place of the original shower head.
Now screw the shower head back into the diverter. You will want to screw the handheld shower into the other threaded portion of the diverter.
You will now be able to switch between the standard shower head and the handheld shower, depending on your mood. You simply need to pull or push the diverter.
Tips & Warnings
- Choose a diverter that matches the finish of your current shower head.
- Make sure to use lukewarm water when testing the shower head diverter.
