How to Make Tahini Miso Salad Dressing

For crisply fresh lettuce, arugula or other greens, try this creamy and healthy dressing. It also works as an excellent sauce for steamed rice and vegetables or tofu. Try adding one clove of minced garlic or a squeeze of lemon juice if you'd like to give it that extra tangy or flavorful kick.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 1/2 cup white miso
  • 3/4 cup warm water (adjusted for thickness as desired)
  • 1/4 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Bowl
  • Spoon or fork
  • Whisk
  1. Step 1

    Mix tahini and miso together until stirred into a creamy texture.

  2. Step 2

    Gradually whisk in tiny amounts of warm water until you have achieved the consistency of the dressing that you wish.

  3. Step 3

    Add lemon juice and minced garlic.

  4. Step 4

    Allow to thicken in bowl before serving.

  5. Step 5

    Store tahini miso dressing in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Tips & Warnings
  • Experiment by adding a dash of tamari, soy sauce or ginger.
  • Mild, sweet white miso is ideal, but in a pinch make this with yellow miso.
