Make your wedding table decorations exceptional at your wedding reception by making cute tuxedo wine bottle covers. These don't have to be expensive, and you can even make them yourself. Set a bottle of wine in a tuxedo jacket at each of the guest tables.

Things You'll Need:

  • Scissors
  • Tracing Paper
  • Black Foamy
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Glue Sticks
  • White Foamy
  • Pencil
  • White Drawing Paper
  • Tape Measure
  • String Or Ribbon

Measure the front half of the bottle. You want to make your tuxedo jacket fit the front half circumference of the bottle, slipped over the bottle's neck. Mark this measurement on a white piece of paper and divide the width in half.

Draw half of the tuxedo jacket without the sleeves on a white piece of paper because getting the jacket body just right may take some erasing and redrawing. Draw the form of the shoulders, waist, the area that buttons and the lower hem of the front half of a tuxedo.

Draw half of the back collar of the tuxedo as half a loop, so that when the two halves of the jacket are glued together the loop fits around the neck of the bottle, looking like the back collar of the jacket.

Cut the tuxedo half you drew and place it on the tracing paper. Trace around the tuxedo half. Turn the white paper tuxedo body over so it is reversed and you can trace the other half of the front of the jacket.

Cut the tracing paper forms out and pin them to the black foamy.

Cut the jacket front halves from the black foamy following the tracing paper outlines.

Draw the lapel shapes to go on each black foamy jacket half on another piece of tracing paper. Cut the tracing paper out and pin the forms on the black foamy. Cut the black foamy lapels out by following the tracing paper outline.

Place the two jacket halves together as if they were buttoned. Measure the V shape that is created between the upper part of the jacket and button, the area where the shirt should be. Draw a triangle shape on the tracing paper about 1/4 inch wider than the V shape you measured.

Cut the tracing paper shape out and pin it to the white foamy piece. Cut the triangle shape out to later glue it upside down under the black jacket halves so it looks like the tuxedo's shirt.

Draw the shape of the bow tie and sleeves on tracing paper, cut the pieces out and pin them to the black foamy. Cut the black foamy shape out following the tracing paper outline.

Glue all the pieces together using the hot glue gun. Glue the jacket so it appears buttoned. Glue the white triangle piece in its upside-down position to the inside of the two black jacket halves. Glue the lapels, sleeves and bow tie into position.

Choose a small button and glue it in position of the center of the jacket where it appears buttoned.

Loop the neck of the jacket over the wine bottle. Make a small hole in the middle of the outside length of each jacket half. Use the tip of the scissors to make the hole. Draw a ribbon or pretty string through the hole. Knot the pulled-through side so it does not pull back through the hole, and tie the other ends in a bow to keep the jacket fixed on the bottle.
