Every car and truck has a fuse box. Fuses are very important because without them several electronic things such as the power windows, the power locks, the lights and the radio would not work. Here are a few steps on how to find the fuse box inside a car.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Check your vehicle owner's manual to find out where the fuse box is located. There are two fuse boxes. One is usually under your dashboard, to the left of your steering wheel and the other one is located under the hood of the car.

  2. Step 2

Open the hood of the car. There is a fuse box located under the hood. This fuse box is usually found on the driver's side of the car. It is a black box and it is usually labeled with the word "FUSES" on the top of the box.

  3. Step 3

Look under the dash board below the steering wheel. This is where the other fuse box is located. It may be well hidden, but it will be labeled with word "FUSES" also. Simply pull on the door to open it. The fuses in this fuse box will be smaller than the fuses under the hood.
