Step 1
Send Hollywood-themed invitations to let guests know the date, time and location of the birthday party. Consider turning the "Night at the Emmys" party into a costume gala by asking guests to dress as their favorite television characters, talk or game show hosts or stars from television movies. Decorate the room with glitzy table centerpieces, wall hangings, streamers and entertainment-related props like clapboard slates and light fixtures. Arrange a red carpet for the guests to walk on as they enter the party. Have someone take paparazzi-style photos throughout the night. (See Resources below.)

Offer snacks guest can munch on while mingling at the party. Finger sandwiches, vegetables or fruit on skewers, bite-sized cakes or brownies and mini crab cakes, hot dogs and pizzas are all good choices. Serve wine, punch or fruit juice in plastic champagne glasses.
