      locate a place to put the pump so it is as close to the machine as possible

      Find the horizontal drain that leads to the main drain of the building.Check to make sure it is in operation.

      cut a section of the pipe so it is big enough to install a wye fitting.
      Install this fitting so the branch is slightly higher than the vertical run of the pipe.

      Install a street 45 into the wye to bring the pipe to a horizontal position so you can attach your drain from the pump to the main drain

      Install a piece of pipe to the vent side of the pump and bring it to the outside of the building.

      Attach a short piece of pipe to the discharge side of the pump and install a check valve and then continue installing the rest of the pipe to the drain that you cut from the main drain

      Now attach a horizontal pipe to the pump with a p-trap and an extension pipe going vertical aproximately 40 inches from the floor for the washing machine drain to go into
