How to Make Perfumed Talcum Powder

When you make your own perfumed talcum powder, you can be sure there are no harmful talcs or other ingredients, and you can choose the scent that works best for you. Make up a batch and pamper yourself after a warm, relaxing bath, or anytime.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cornstarch
  • Tapioca starch
  • Baking soda
  • Vanilla essential oil
  • Vanilla powder
  • Talcum powder containers

    Perfumed Talcum Powder

  1. Step 1

    Combine the corn starch, tapioca starch and arrowroot powder in a small bowl, and mix thoroughly.

  2. Step 2

    Add the fragrance or essential oils to a cotton ball or absorbent cotton pad.

  3. Step 3

    Put the perfumed cotton ball or cotton pad in a container with the talcum powder and stir it or shake it well.

  4. Step 4

    All the perfumed talcum powder to sit for 24 hours, and stir or shake it again.

  5. Step 5

    Remove the perfumed pad or cotton ball and discard it.

  6. Step 6

    Put the perfumed talcum powder in the containers, and use as desired. This recipe makes two cups of perfumed talcum powder.

  7. Perfumed Vanilla Talcum Powder

  8. Step 1

    Mix the cornstarch, baking soda and tapioca powder in a small bowl, stirring until the mixture is well blended.

  9. Step 2

    Add the vanilla essential oil to a cotton ball or absorbent cotton pad and put it in the bowl with the talcum powder. Let it sit for about 24 hours, and stir it again.

  10. Step 3

    Removed the perfumed cotton ball or pad and discard it.

  11. Step 4

    Place the perfumed vanilla talcum powder in the containers and use as desired. Recipe makes two cups.
