How to Code a Lookup on Neopets

Read Neopets rules for lookups and HTML coding. Neopets is strict about what elements they allow on lookups. Adding elements to your lookup that violate Neopets rules can get your account frozen.

Go to the Neopets Help page and search for HTML. This will pull up a 13-lesson Neopets HTML guide that has good hints and tips on how to code your lookup.

Learn basic HTML coding including CSS. This will allow you to fully customize your lookups. Search for HTML, using any search engine to find sites that will help you learn HTML.

Find a premade lookup. There are many different ways to find these. If you see a lookup that you like on someone else's user lookup or pet page, look on the page to see if the author's name is on it. You also can Neomail the user to find out where they got the lookup.

Ask for help making a lookup on the NeoBoards. Make sure that you are very specific about what theme you want for your lookup. Some people will only make Neopets-themed lookups and others make lookups for non-Neopets themes.

Enter a user lookup code by going to the My Account page and then go to the Edit Profile page. If you are customizing a pet page, go to the Pet Page, and then the Customize page.
