Instructions

    • 1

Wash and blow dry hair straight. It's best to use a volumizing formula for thin or normal hair, and a moisturizing formula for dry hair.

    • 2

Apply a styling product like a gel or mousse. Choose one with volumizing or moisturizing properties, depending on your hair type. Make sure the product you choose has a bit of hold.

    • 3

Set hair with large rollers. The larger the better. Avoid curlers that will make defined curls or ringlets. The goal for this step is volume and wave.

    • 4

Section hair into three sections and clip to keep them out of the way. The sections should be on each side of the head and at the back. The back section should start just before the top of the head. Clip about an inch to two inch sections of hair, depending on your preference.

    • 5

Tease each pinned section. Take a section of hair between your fingers and spray with hairspray. Then, pulling hair in the opposite direction of growth, back comb with a comb or brush.

    • 6

Smooth the teased sections. Flip the teased section of hair back in the natural direction of hair growth. With a brush, smooth just the top part of the section by brushing it down. Keep the bottom hair rough.

    • 7

Pin each section. Take the entire back section and twist at the top of head. Secure with a pin or two, making sure to keep some height. Pull even amounts of hair from each side section and pin in the same area as the back section was pinned. Take as much hair from the sides as you want.

Who is Brigitte Bardot?? Bite your underaged uneducated tongue and Google image her immediately! That said, the instructions are tantalizing but not exactly helpful on parting hair into sections; illustrations or photos would be very useful.
