Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Stand with your right side facing the pole. Reach high with your right hand and grasp the pole.

  2. Step 2

Build momentum to complete the move by walking quickly in a clockwise direction around the pole. Your steps should be quick enough to build your momentum; however, try to keep your walk smooth and graceful. Keep your left arm floating out to your side as you make the turn.

  3. Step 3

Come around to your original position and without losing momentum, wrap your right leg around the pole, grasping the pole with the back of your knee. Make 1/2 turn and then, in one smooth motion, grasp the pole with your left hand at about chest level and lift your left foot straight out in front of you, like an ice skater.

  4. Step 4

Complete the first turn and tuck your left leg back even with your right so that both legs are bent at the knees and tucked under your body.

  5. Step 5

Use your momentum to spin your body around the pole in the ice skater pole dance move. Allow your body to slide slowly down the pole until your knees come gently to the ground.
