If you're getting married, going to a dance or just want a special corsage for a special person, you may spend quite a bit for a rose corsage. Making one yourself is simple.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Roses
  • Greenery
  • Floral wire
  • Floral tape
  • Wire cutters
  • Ribbon
  • Corsage pin
  1. Step 1

Choose the single rose you would like to use for your single rose corsage. Snip the rose off leaving a two-inch stem.

  2. Step 2

Prick the stem of the rose with a piece of wire and pull it out the other side and bend it around so it won't slip back through the stem.

  3. Step 3

Decide what greenery you would like, such as ivy. Arrange several pieces so it cascades down the sides and front framing the rose.

  4. Step 4

Wind florist tape around the rose stem. As you wind it, stretch it so it will fit tightly.

  5. Step 5

Select a strip of ribbon to wrap around the stem. Hold the ribbon at the top of the stem and wrap around, overlapping each layer until you get to the bottom of the wire. Give the end of the stem a finished look by wrapping the ribbon partly back up the stem and secure it by tying. Then snip any extra ribbon.

  6. Step 6

Curl the end of the stem using a pencil as a guide. Insert your single rose corsage pin, and it's ready to be pinned on.
