How to Make a Balloon Hat

Balloon hats are a fun activity for the young and old. Learning how to make them can brighten up anyone's day. If you're feeling a little bored, make a balloon hat. If your child is feeling sick or you're looking to impress a cute girl, make a balloon hat. They're simple to make and offer many opportunities for creativity.

Instructions

1. Blow a balloon up almost all of the way to the end, minus 2 inches.

2. Grab the balloon at one end and twist off a 2-inch bubble.

3. Take the balloon and measure it around the head of the person you're making it for.

4. Twist the end of the balloon that you've made into ball to the area where you've measured the person's head. Make sure you twist them together well so the hat will stay together.

5. Hold onto the area you've twisted together. Take the other end of the balloon and bend it over the other side and twist them together.

6. Sit the hat on the head of the person you've made it for and you're done.

Tips & Warnings

• These are steps for a basic hat. You can blow up more balloons and add them on to the basic hat to make all kinds of fun, custom designs.

• Instead of twisting the loose hat of the bubble to the other end closing up the hat, leave it loose and add a bubble to the end to create an Indian hat.

• If you're trying to impress a girl, ask what her favorite color is, then make a balloon hat out of that color.
