1
Combine 2 oz. beeswax, 3/4 cups sweet almond oil and 1/4 cup avocado oil in the top of a double boiler. Heat the ingredients just until the wax melts, being careful not to overheat. Heating the mixture beyond a temperature that is comfortable to touch can destroy the natural healing elements of the oils.
-
2
Warm one cup of water in a separate saucepan and pour the water into a blender. Place the lid on the blender without the center circular portion and turn the blender on its lowest setting.

-
3
Pour the warm wax and oil mixture slowly into the blender. Squeeze the oil from four 400 IU vitamin E capsules into the mix.
-
4
Add 10 drops of essential oil to your hand cream while the blender is still working. Allow the blender to churn until the hand cream has cooled and thickened into an even cream.
-
5
Turn off the blender and carefully spoon your finished avocado hand cream into small glass jars with tight fitting lids. Allow the cream to cool completely before sealing. Store your natural hand cream in a cool, dark location or in the refrigerator.

Tips & Warnings
Pellets are the easiest form of beeswax for making hand creams; however, you can get the same results by shaving brick beeswax with an ordinary cheese grater or sharp knife.
Since avocado and almond oils exude light nutty aromas, musky essential oils are the best complements to your hand cream. Try one or a combination of patchouli, cedar, frankincense or sandalwood essential oils.
