Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Mix 1 and 1/4 cups baking soda, 1/2 cup citric acid, 1/8 cup of instant coffee and 1/8 cup of powdered milk in a large bowl. If you are using large-grain instant coffee, powder it a bit more with a mortar and pestle.

  2. Step 2

Add 1 tsp. of water and 15 drops of a fragrance oil or essential oil of your choice. Other options include coffee, vanilla and chocolate or a combination of your choice.

  3. Step 3

Drizzle between 2 and 6 tbsp. of almond oil slowly into the mixture, stirring constantly. When you can form a ball with the ingredients and the ball does not easily crumble, you have added enough oil.

  4. Step 4

Pack your bath bombs firmly into lightly oiled molds, allowing them to remain in the mold for a minute or two before tapping your finished bath bombs onto waxed paper to dry. Once thoroughly dry, store your bombs in an air-tight container.

Tips & Warnings
  • For perfect bath bombs you can purchase specially designed molds; however, you can get creative and use an ice cream scoop, muffin tins or candy molds. Pack the bath bomb mixture firmly into the mold so that it does not crumble when dry.
  • Your bath bombs may require a day or two to dry thoroughly, depending on your climate
  • This recipe should make about 7 cappuccino bath bombs.
