Things You'll Need:
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Olive oil
- Salt
- Hair conditioner
-
Step 1
Soak a cotton swab with hydrogen peroxide, and gently rub into the skin over the henna stain. It can take awhile, but eventually the color will start to fade.
-
Step 2
Go swimming in a pool. The chlorinated water dries out the skin and speeds up the fading process.
-
Step 3
Soak the area stained with henna in hot water for long periods of time on a regular basis. Take a very long bath, a long and hot shower, or soak your foot or hand in a bowl of hot water.
-
Step 4
Massage olive oil into the stained area. This technique is probably the most gentle on the skin.
-
Step 5
Combine salt with the olive oil. This works as a natural exfoliant. Any other exfoliant also works to remove the top layers of the skin.
-
Step 6
Spend time in the sun to fade the stain. Take proper precautions because this practice can be unhealthy, especially for those with fair skin.
-
Step 7
Rub hair conditioner into the henna stain to also hasten the fading of the tattoo. This technique is also gentle on the skin.
