Metal containers like those that Altoid candies are packaged in can make precious mini-album covers. Recycle your Altoid candy tin into a gift for someone you love.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Altoid tin
  • Scrapbook paper
  • Paper trimmer
  • Scissors or other cutting tools
  • Scrapbook embellishments (paper flowers, stickers, rub ons, stamps, brads or ribbons)
  • Adhesive (scrapbook-safe)
  • Corner rounder
  1. Step 1

Make an album insert to fit into the Altoid tin. Cut a long strip of paper about 2 ½" think and 12" long. Fold the paper into 3" squares to fit into your Altoid tin (the size will depend on how big your tin measures). The album will be folded similar to an accordion album.

  2. Step 2

Cut a piece of patterned paper to fit on top of the tin and embellish as needed.

Cut paper and photo mats to decorate your mini-album insert. Use stamps, stickers or metal embellishments to create your mini-album.

  4. Step 4

Place your photos in your album and place it inside your altered tin.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use strong adhesive to glue on embellishments and paper coverings.
  • Try not to use embellishments that are too bulky for your album insert because they may make it hard to place inside the Altoid tin.
  • Be creative and use a theme for your mini album.
