Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Baby
  • Prefold cloth diaper
  • Pins
  • Diaper cover

    Tri-fold

  1. Step 1

Fold the diaper into thirds. If your baby is a boy, the thick middle part of the diaper should run vertically for maximum absorbency. If your baby is a girl the middle part of the diaper should run horizontally for maximum absorbency.

  2. Step 2

Lay the diaper in the cover and fold down any excess. The fold should be in the back for a girl and the front for a boy.

  3. Step 3

Place the cover and diaper under your baby’s bottom, then fasten the cover over your baby.

  4. Newspaper Fold

  13. Step 3

Bring the diaper up toward your baby’s belly button then unroll the top of the diaper so it stretches across the baby’s waist.

  14. Step 4

Bring each back wing across the front, over the top of the diaper and pin.

  15. Step 5

Fasten a diaper cover over the diaper.

  16. Bikini Twist

  17. Step 1

Lay the diaper underneath your baby’s bottom with the thick part running vertically.

  18. Step 2

Twist the diaper all the way over at its midpoint.

  19. Step 3

Bring the diaper up toward your baby’s belly button.

  20. Step 4

Bring each back wing across the front, over the top of the diaper and pin.

  21. Step 5

Tips & Warnings
  • Place the sharp end of your pins in a bar of soap to help them more easily slide through the diaper when pinning it on the baby.
