Here is a tutorial which most of you will appreciate
how to create a sunburst background or effect in adobe illustrator. which can be used as a background for many of your illustrations or greeting cards

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Adobe illustrator CS or above
  • Computer
  • Aesthetic mind
  1. Step 1
    Snap to point
    Snap to point

    One thing you must do before starting the tutorial is go to view> snap to point. This is a handy thing which will help you align your triangle for a perfect sunburst.
    and Also open your info box through window>info

  2. Step 2
    select polygon tool
    select polygon tool

    Open a new file , click on polygon tool click anywhere on your artboard

  3. Step 3
    polygon size
    polygon size

    Which will open up this window , reduce sides to 3

  4. Step 4

    hence a perfect triangle

  5. Step 5
    transform
    transform

    Now go to object> transform> scale with following readings

  6. Step 6
    rotate tool
    rotate tool

    Click on rotate tool

  7. Step 7

    Click on top point of the triangle which will snap to point

  8. Step 8

    Now keeping an eye on info window while you press “alt” and drag a copy until the window tells you that you have reached 25 degree angel

  9. Step 9

    Now that you have two triangle with a distance of 25 degrees , keep hitting ctrl+D to repeat your last step

  10. Step 10

    Draw a square / rectangle behind your burst , group the burst select all and click on Divide on pathfinder box then expand!

  11. Step 11

    Ungroup and delete all that you don’t want .

    Hence a perfect burst! Save it as a symbol and use it again and again
