I want it all!
I want it all!

Everything tastes so good! How can we keep ourselves from going overboard with the amount we eat?

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Selfcontrol
  • Smaller stomach!
  1. Step 1

    Boredom.

    1. Although we don't realize it... we eat the most when we are bored.
It's so easy to gobble down a whole bag of Potato Chips, and a family size pack of Oreos before we know it. Keep close carrots, or celery, or any other healthy snack alternative for when you get the munchies. Chances are it will be impossible to overindulge in these!

    2. T.V. Eating

Keep a log of the time you watch T.V. You will probably find that most of that time you are munching on some snacks that generally aren't too healthy for you, and that you weren't really hungry in the first place! Limit your T.V. time and buy healthy snacks. That way the only available choices will be good for you and your family!

  2. Step 2

    1. Social Eating

It may be one of the hardest things to fight. We go out with some of our friends to our favorite restaurant, and we feel an overwhelming pressure to eat when others eat, more than we would normally eat,( even when we're not hungry.)They may pick at you but order things that contain more vegetables than meat and always leave leftovers. Key is don't eat them as soon as you get home!

    2. Self-control

If we realize that we have the tendency to finish our plate no matter how much is loaded on... use smaller plates and smaller portions.

  3. Step 3

    1. Underlying Emotional Issues

Truth is... we feed our emotions instead of addressing them. When you feel the strong urge to binge eat, speak to a trusted friend about what's really bothering you. Once you start talking you may find you had more bottled up inside of you than you realized.

    2. Mindset

Just as Eve continued to look at the fruit, think about it, and then gave way to eating it... we to will give in to over-indulgence eating if we concentrate persistently on the smell and taste of the food we love. Force your mind to think on some else ... anything else!

  4. Step 4

    1. Regular Intervals

If we eat every three hours small sized meals/snacks... we will not feel so hungry and feel the urge to stuff ourselves!

    2. Liquids

Drink water, or green tea atleast 30 minutes before and after your meals! It will help curb your appetite and digest your food more efficiently! We all love food! Let's enjoy it... in moderation!!!

Tips & Warnings
  • We can still fully enjoy wonderful food without stuffing our faces!
  • This is not meant to treat or replace doctors advice! Only to encourage us not to overindulge in our passion: FOOD!!!
