Dream boards, sometimes known as “goal maps,” are a fantastic way to set your intentions and manifest what you desire. By combining visual images and words that represent what you want more of in your life, you can manifest anything from a new relationship or career to an exotic vacation. By choosing relaxing and spiritual images, you can remind yourself to take time to relax in this busy world. Making a dream board is fun, like becoming a kid again—set aside two to three hours to “play” with this process.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A large, colored poster board, felt-tipped pens, scissors, glue stick and magazines or catalogs from which to choose images and words or phrases. You can also include color copies of personal photos,
  1. Step 1

    Determine Your Theme
What is the most pressing need in your life? Maybe you’d like to get married, or lose some weight. Choose positive images that relate to this theme, including those that “just want to be there,” even if you don’t know why. Allow yourself plenty of time to choose images; you’ll probably pick more than you’ll end up using.

  2. Step 2

    Cut and Paste
Cut out your images and phrases and place them on the board. You can overlap images in creative ways, or place them singly for an uncluttered effect. Move things around until you feel satisfied with the arrangement. You can write affirmations with a felt-tipped pen.

  3. Step 3

    Glue it Down
Once you’ve determined your design, cover the back of the images with glue stick and press them onto the board. Make sure the edges are glued down firmly.

  4. Step 4

    Decorate Your Board
Use glitter glue to outline your images and weave them together, or make designs such as hearts and flowers. You can also matte frame your dream board when it is done.

  5. Step 5

    Placement
Place your dream board in a location where you’ll view it often (the refrigerator, your office or the inside of a closet door if you don’t want prying eyes to see it). Each time you look at it, your subconscious mind will be “vibing” on the images and working to create more of those qualities or experiences in your life!

Tips & Warnings
  • Don’t include anything on your dream board that you don’t want in your life. The subconscious mind registers every detail and might manifest something you don’t want!
