Things You'll Need:
- Small zip-lock bag (sandwhich size)
- Large zip-lock bag (gallon size)
- 1 cup of milk
- 1-2 tsp. of vanilla extract
- 2-3 tsp. of sugar
- ice
- salt
-
Step 1
In small zip-lock bag add in the cup of milk, teaspoon(s) of vanilla extract, and the teaspoons of sugar. Close zip-lock bag and make sure it will not open.
-
Step 2
In large zip-lock bag add in ice cubes and enough salt to cover the cubes, the salt will keep the ice cubes in same cold temperature.
-
Step 3
Next is to place the small bag in the large bag, and close the large bag. Make sure that the large zip-lock bag will not open, then shake bag for a good ten minutes.
-
Step 4
After 10 minutes of shaking the bag, remove the small bag from the large bag, and the mixture turned into soft served ice cream. If it is too soft, put closed small bag back in the large bag and shake it more for an extra 5 minutes.

on 8/26/2009 I tried this also and it came out great. Thanks. No need to run to the store for ice cream now!

on 6/9/2009 Hi...I tried your recipe a few minutes ago. It made some awesome vanilla ice cream. I doubled the recipe and put the ingredients in a larger bag. Am having company this weekend and wanted them to try some, too. :) Thanks for the tips!
