How to Start Digital Scrapbooking

Digital scrapbooking is the wave of the future. In a society where we are fast-paced and always moving, we do not always have time to sit down and create scrapbooks from scratch. Plus, since most of us have digital cameras, the pictures are already on the computer, so it makes this great hobby even easier. Read on to make life easier by digital scrapbooking.

Things You'll Need

• Digital Imaging Software that supports layers
• Photos on your computer
• Simply Digital-Scrapbooking Template CDs
• Photo quality printer and photo paper

Instructions

1. Put your photos on your computer. Do this by scanning them in or importing them from your digital camera.

2. Create a basic layout. Most programs have templates to choose from, this makes it extremely easy to make your first basic page.

3. Pick a special photo as the background to your page. Or create a background that mimics the look of a traditional paper background.

4. Add a photo to your background. At this time add any die-cuts or other embellishments you want to include on your page.

5. Select a font for journaling and titles.

6. Type journaling and titles. Keep it simple, include the facts first and then embellish more with feelings and emotions.

7. Save the page to a folder on your hard drive.

8. Print the page and insert it in the scrapbook.

9. Show off your completed page and prepare for your friends and family to be amazed.
