  • T-shirt

  • Scissors

  • Masking tape

  • Hammer

  • Nail

How to Frame a T-Shirt. You can frame a T-shirt to preserve your memories of a favorite concert or event. A framed T-shirt makes a thoughtful gift or a decorative addition to a room. Framing a T-shirt requires few materials and takes only a few minutes.

Step 1

Buy an acrylic box frame big enough to display the image on the T-shirt.

Step 2

Take the back out of the frame. Some frames have side pieces attached to the back of the frame. If yours does not, cut a cardboard box to fit the frame with the sides.

Step 3

Stretch the T-shirt over the back of the frame or the box you cut. Center the T-shirt's image in the middle of the frame. Mark the shirt around the sides. Allow a 2-inch overhang around the edges.

Step 4

Cut the T-shirt around the marks you made.

Step 5

Wrap the shirt around the back and tape it down. The T-shirt needs to be pulled as tightly as possible

Step 6

Slide the back into the frame. Attach the frame to the back with the clips on the frame.

Step 7

Hammer a nail into the wall where you want to place the frame. Hang the frame on the wall.

Purchase acrylic box frames at any department or craft store.
