With Halloween just around the corner it's almost time to start working on those costumes. Here is an adorable and affordable dinosaur one for the Tyranosaurus lovers out there. It can be made with a pair of pajamas or a sweat suit and can be finished in an hour. In this costume your little dino fan will be the coolest and cutest T Rex on the block.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Dark green sweats
  • Panel of green felt
  • Plastic green visor or green baseball hat
  • Large plastic eyes
  • Sheet of white craft foam
  • Hot glue gun
  1. Step 1

Cut two pieces of green felt into the shape and size you want for the dinosaur tail. Leave enough room at the top, about five to six inches, to be pinned and tucked into green sweats.

  2. Step 2

Sew the two pieces together, and stuff with rags for fullness.

  3. Step 3

Cut white foam into teeth-like shapes. You can make them jagged or pointy.

  4. Step 4

Affix the teeth to the brim of the visor using a hot glue gun, and space them about three inches apart.

  5. Step 5

Hot glue plastic eyes onto the visor or green baseball hat.

Tips & Warnings
  • If your child doesn't have a green sweat suit you can substitute green pajamas or look for for a set at a surplus store or Goodwill to keep costs down.
  • This costume is adaptable and can be further embellished according to your preferences. You can make a ruff out of more green felt, glue scales down the tail or even add dinosaur feet to your child's tennis shoes.
