How to Make a Ginny Weasley Costume

Ginny Weasley is the youngest of the Weasley children. In the Harry Potter books, we get to watch her grow up. Once she goes to Hogwarts in Harry's third year, her role in the adventures increases. She is a popular character to dress up as during Halloween and other character events.

Instructions

1. Grow your hair long and color it red. All seven of the Weasley children have red hair. Ginny wears hers long, much like a mane.

2. Find a Hogwarts robe. In the Harry Potter books, all Hogwarts students are required to wear long black robes. Ginny's is used and worn. She is the youngest of seven children and often wears hand-me-downs.

3. Acquire a scarf and tie in the Gryffindor colors of red and gold. Students often wear wool scarves in their colors to show their support and keep warm. The tie is worn with their school uniform.

4. Wear a dark gray skirt and sweater. This is the girls uniform at Hogwarts. Knee socks in house colors and sensible shoes are also worn.

5. Obtain a ginger fur cat. Ginny does not have a pet of her own. She is great friends with Hermione's cat Crookshanks. She can often entice him out of hiding places. A stuffed ginger cat will do nicely for a costume.

• Ginny is good friends with Hermione. Having a friend dress up as Hermione would add believability to your character.

• Ginny is the youngest of seven children. She is also the only girl. This gives her a special attitude. Her brothers are very protective, but she also takes a lot of teasing. She can be shy, but has a temper. Incorporating this into your attitude when dressing up as Ginny will help the believability.
