Things You'll Need:

  • Fresh herbs
  • Green floral tape
  • Clothes pin
  • Green flexible coated wire
  1. Step 1

Gather a small amount of herbs at the stems and tape them together with a piece of green floral tape. Arrange all the herbs into bunches the way you want them positioned in your ring.

  2. Step 2

Hang the bunches of herbs upside down. Clip them with clothes pins and hang them on a clothesline or in any spot where they can hang undisturbed in a dry area. Leave them for about three days until they are partially dried.

  3. Step 3

Arrange your partially-dried herbs the way you will want them out on a table.

  4. Step 4

Attach each bunch of herbs to a green flexible coated wire, which you can purchase at a crafts or hobby store. Wrap the wire around each bundle as you go.

  5. Step 5

Make the ring the size of the base of the candle. Wrap the ends of the wire together and clip off the excess wire.

  6. Step 6

Place your candle into the ring and set it on your table as a beautiful, great smelling centerpiece.

Tips & Warnings
  • Some good herbs that you can use for your decoration are oregano, rosemary, mint, marjoram, bay leaf, parsley, sage, thyme and basil. Purchase your herbs at a grocery store, organic food store or farmer's market.
  • If using just oregano, rosemary, mint or marjoram, it isn't necessary to dry these herbs before assembling them into your candle ring.
  • You can mix in a few small flowers into the herbs if you desire to brighten up your candle ring decoration.
