This is the third in a series of articles explaining how to use Slide.com to create free slideshows, guestbooks, funpix, skinflix (not what it sounds like) and screen savers from your own photos. In this article, you will learn how to make a guestbook.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • An account at Slide.com
  • A photo of yourself to get a guestbook started
  • A browser

Create a Guest Book

Step1
Sign in to your account at Slide.com.
Step2
Start by clicking Make a Guestbook Find and click the link that says "Make a Guestbook."
Step3
The first photo or video will be your greeting. When the Guest Book window opens, you first create a greeting. It has spaces for five photos right off the bat. The first on is meant to be a photo or video of you.
Step4
Customize your guestbook using these slide.com tools. After you have a greeting in place, you can customize the guestbook with themes and designs. You also have the ability to set approval preferences which will allow anyone to post in your guestbook, or allow people to post only after they are approved by you. A nice feature that will prevent spam.
Step5
After you click save, you see the options for upload the guestbook to numerous other websites. When you are finished customizing, click the Save button. This will open a section of the page that gives you options about uploading your guestbook to MySpace, Friendster, Wordpress, Blogger and other sites. You can opt to "Share Guestbook," and you get the HTML code to paste the guestbook anywhere. You can even use the guestbook as a screensaver, which seems a bit silly, but maybe that's just what you want.
Step6
The photo introducing this article shows you how a finished guestbook might look, depending on the customization options you choose.

Tips & Warnings
