Get a box from a moving company, neighbor or business. Designate the box as the "old news paper box." Get more than one box; station all the boxes in your garage. Mark "recycle" on these boxes.

Collect newspapers from your neighbors. Write a sign and post it in your yard, have it say, "FREE up space in your home, send me your unwanted newspapers!" Go to coffee shops near close time and ask for old newspapers.

Arrange for the library to call you when they're about to replace news papers. Be there when they put new newspapers in place and cast old ones aside. Collect those old papers. Contact someone that works at the newspaper's printing shop. Ask them what happens to old papers. If they throw them away, check to see if you could come in and take them instead.

Talk to the public relations department where you work. Ask them to write an announcement for you. Request that your coworkers give you their old newspapers instead of throwing them away. Do the same thing for your local church, club and organizations. Let them know that you're collecting old newspapers for a special project. Have a box near your desk.

Contact all the recycling centers in your city. Compare prices and distance, chose the nearest one if all prices are within range of each other. There's no sense in making a recycle run to the other side of town. Your gas cost might cancel your net gain out. You burn more gas when you carry more in your vehicle.

Study how well you did; look at your process from your "sales" efforts to when you drop the papers off for recycling. Work on ways to make more money. Always have your eyes peeled for places normally frequented by newspaper readers. Add more newspaper sources, recycle more papers, and make more money in the process.
