How to Make a Belle Halloween Costume

Make Belle Halloween costume for your child and she'll be a princess for a day. This character from Walt Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" animation has been a long-time favorite.

Things You'll Need

• Yellow ball gown or pattern and fabric
• Yellow ribbon
• Yellow opera gloves
• Brown wig or extensions

Instructions

1. Find a Belle dress online at one of the many Halloween costume sites. The alternative is to find a dress at a thrift store or sew the dress from a pattern. Belle's formal attire is a full-length, off-the-shoulder yellow ball gown.

2. Create the Belle hairdo. This can be accomplished by adding extensions to brown hair or purchasing a wig. Belle has long, brown hair without bangs, and wig prices run the gamut from very inexpensive to pricey.

3. Keep makeup simple. No Disney princess, Belle included, has a heavy-handed makeup look. A bit of blush on the cheeks and a kiss of lip gloss will create a princess look with confidence.

4. Add accessories to finish the look. Belle wears yellow opera gloves with her dress and a yellow ribbon to match her dress in her hair. A red rose can be that extra something special.
